Whitney and Mauricio got married at Countryside Farms in Powhatan a few weeks ago. While it may have been cold and cloudy for most of the day, this intimate wedding was so sweet!
They met through Facebook Dating, where they instantly connected and started talking with one another, which lead to them dating.
Mauricio decided to propose on a family vacation in front of a lighthouse. The moment was certainly sweet, and it is something that the two of them will remember for the rest of their lives!
While their wedding was smaller and more intimate, it was very clear that they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. All throughout the day, they shared cute moments between one another.
Leading up to the ceremony, I could tell that they were both nervous – but in a good way. They were excited to finally get to marry their favorite person, and couldn’t wait for the moment to arrive.
One of the more sentimental touches from the wedding is Whitney’s bouquet – it had a blue butterfly clip that was a gift to her from her mom so Whitney had her “Something Blue”, but also to remember Whitney’s great grandmother. There was a purple pendant that her grandmother let Whitney borrow for the wedding day that belonged to her mother.
The reception was a lot of fun – there were yard games available for guests to participate in – such as Jenga and Cornhole games! This definitely helped add to the intimacy of their day, where their wedding just felt like a huge family get together!
