This maternity session was so beautiful atop Raven’s Roost in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I met Richard and Jamie before their wedding on New Year’s Eve 2020 and they recently contacted me about photographing their growing family! This sweet couple will be welcoming their new baby in October. They chose not to know the gender of their baby and let it be a surprise during the birth! I just love that so much!

We drove up to Raven’s Roost for their session during sunset. Although it started out hazy, the sunset turned out beautifully. There were tons of interested people watching and smiling, but were super gracious to stay out of our photos. Raven’s Roost is definitely one of my favorite “destination” locations for sessions in the mountains.
